In many cultures, myths and legends of journeys and battles relate how qualities such as loyalty, integrity, honesty and courage play a part in bringing the victory of good over evil, of light over darkness. Join us for an evening of music, dance and storytelling as we celebrate Diwali, a much loved Indian festival symbolising the return of humanity from dark times to a time of light, stability, abundance and happiness for all.

A student and teacher of Raja Yoga meditation for nearly 30 years, Sister Daxa Shah co-ordinates Wembley Inner Space, UK, and its outreach activities in Watford and St. Albans.  Before this she helped run meditation centres in Mumbai, Dubai and Vancouver. She balances her determination and organisational skills with gentleness, honesty, respect and sweetness and has become an inspiring speaker and teacher over a wide range of personal development themes. Sister Daxa was nominated and recognised by the Mayor of Brent as a Brent Council 2014 Community Champion for the Brahma Kumaris’ service to Wembley’s ethnically diverse population.
