Talk : Emotional Freedom
We are told to listen to our feelings, but not to make decisions when we are emotional. Feelings are like nourishing food for the soul, whereas emotions are like junk food - highly addictive, strongly affecting our bodies and minds. Emotions often compel us to act in ways we often later regret.
Making friends with our emotions, such as jealousy, fear and anger, involves accepting them, recognising the underlying beliefs and perceptions which triggered them, and, ultimately, finding the deeper truths that can set us free. With experience, we can also learn to develop a taste for the subtle inner feelings of love, joy and peace and step off the emotional rollercoaster ride.
